Leader: Rene Brannan

When: Thursdays from 10:30am to 12:00pm
Location:  FBC Stage Room
Duration: September 14, 2017

Dark pasts plague many women even after God miraculously saves them. You have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior; now what is the next step? What does it look like to be a woman of God, renouncing your victim status, and finding your identity in Christ. In this study you’ll learn the next steps toward maturity in Christ. Just like the Israelites who were free from the bondage of the Egyptians, it was not over—they still needed to learn how to be children of God. In the same way, after salvation we must learn what it means and how to live in light of our salvation.

Echoes of the Reformation
Led by Pastor Jody Cross

When: Tuesdays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Location: FBC Sanctuary
Duration: Beginning September 26, 2017
Cost: $13 (to cover cost of workbook)

Echoes of the Reformation: 5 Truths That Shape the Christian Life is a new Bible study examining the five core truths that came from the Reformation - often called the solas.  Group attendees will explore these essential convictions of the faith and emerge more immersed in the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The solar include:

  • Sola Scriptura (by Scripture alone)
  • Sola gratia (by grace alone)
  • Sola fide (through faith alone)
  • Solus Christus (through Christ alone)
  • Soli Deo gloria (glory to God alone)

How is the Reformation relevant today?  As political pressure mounts, as morality drifts, and as evangelicals become increasingly refined in a hostile world, it's more important than ever to champion the convictions of the Reformation.*

Authentic Manhood is all about setting men up to live lives of truth, passion and purpose. Our resources offer clear and practical Biblical insights on God's design for manhood that are both refreshing and inspiring. We point men to a gospel-centered vision of life that sets them up to enjoy God's grace as they pursue the promises of His Word. Our resources, including the original Men's Fraternity curriculum created by Dr. Robert Lewis, have influenced millions of men around the world.

This study will be based on  "33: The Series" which is a multi-volume, gospel-centered video series that presents the timeless truths of Authentic Manhood in a powerfully new and engaging way. It includes new insightful teaching, inspiring testimonies, expert interviews and multiple creative features. As a man experiences the different volumes of 33, he will find himself building a vision for Authentic Manhood in his own life that is built on the gospel of Jesus Christ and was modeled by Him in His 33 years on earth. Join us on Thursday nights to put the gospel back in the center.

Description:  When God’s Word is opened during Sunday morning, we try to absorb as much as we can. However, sometimes we need to go deeper to mine all the gold out of the text. Often we need to ask questions or discuss something that we learned. This group offers that opportunity. This group is also great to join anytime because you won’t be jumping in half-way through a study. You’ve already heard the sermon on Sunday so you’ll be prepared to engage and go deeper into what God has to reveal to you.
