DiscoveryLand
Sunday morning preschool environment for children ages 0 – 3 years and then ages 4-5 in the Yellow room. In DiscoveryLand your child will begin to learn about three basic truths:
1. God Made Me
2. God Loves Me
3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever
We are currently using the curriculum First Look www.firstlook.org
In DiscoveryLand our goal is to create a safe and engaging environment where your child can experience God's abundant love for them. Because we place a high value on your child, children are cared for by leaders who have completed a full police check and safety screening.

KidZStreet
READY...SET...GO!!! KidZStreet is our Sunday morning environment for elementary school aged kids (1st - 5th Grade). Here in KidZStreet the kidz learn a new virtue and memory verse every month. Our curriculum (252 Basics - www.252basics.org) is built around learning to study and apply 3 basic life truths according to Luke 2:52:
1. I need to make the wise choice (WISDOM)
2. I can trust God no matter what (FAITH), and
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated (FRIENDSHIP).
A typical KidZStreet morning begins with the kidz in small group time where they are introduced to the morning lesson, then they gather together to engage in a large group time that includes worship, teaching, and prayer, and then finally they return back to their original small groups to take part in application activities.
As KidZStreet leaders we strongly believe that FIVE things EVERY KID needs to know are:
1. They have a really big God they can trust no matter what happens
2. There is someone else who believes what they believe
3. There are other voices saying the same things as their parents
4. Uncommon sense, to help them make wise choices and
5. Nosey parents who know where their kidz are spiritually

This program is offered Sunday mornings from September - June.

At First Baptist Church Orillia we deeply believe that lost people matter to God, and therefore, matter to us.
In our KidZStreet ministry we seek to equip our kidz to go out and make disciples of all nations (well, at least in their playgrounds!) but do so in love, in friendship, and as an example of what it is to be a God follower.
Both DiscoveryLand and KidZstreet are located in the lower level (past the tree and straight ahead). Children are accepted into their environments fifteen minutes prior to service at 9:45 am. We look forward to serving you!

For many years, First Baptist Church, Orillia has rented the facilities of Camp Kwasind to run a five day residential camp for the children of Orillia & area. The cabin leaders are all volunteers from local churches. Volunteer leaders dedicate a week of their time to better the lives of children, and to give them opportunities to experience… God’s love & power, Nature, Mentoring, community Living, Life Skill Development, Fun & Friendships!
