Welcome to First Baptist Church, Orillia!

If you are new to town and looking for a church home or just exploring the web site to get a little more information, we are happy to introduce ourselves to you. A web site can tell you a few things about a church - what the building looks like, when the services are, what sort of staff the church has and what programs are available but that probably won't tell you what you really want to know. Try checking out the Core Values document found under the 'About Us' tab on the home page to get a sense of what makes us unique as a church. Most churches out there have the same mission - Go and make disciples... - but churches are all different because of the unique values that they hold. Like every other church, who we are is a function of the deep, foundational values that God has planted within us. If you see those, you will likely have found out what you need to know.

Of course, even reading a church's Core Values can only tell you so much - why not come and visit us? We'd love to see you and introduce ourselves in person. Our church is a neat place - it is quite frankly the type of church my wife and I love to be a part of. We feel drawn to churches that do more than play at church - we love being part of a church that wants to live out its purpose. I believe and hope that FBC is that place. We aren't there yet, but we have a sense - a dream - of what God has called us to be and to do and we are having so much fun walking together into the future God has laid on our hearts. Come and walk with us in the great adventure of faith.

Blessings to you as you explore God's magnificent call on you!
